Norms set for the discharge of functions

The Secretaries are the Chief Executive Officers of the Academy. They are the scientific face of the Academy entrusted with the responsibility of Scientific, Academic and Technical matters in particular and day to day affairs of the Academy in general. The Executive Secretary is the Executive Officer of the Secretariat who will facilitate, implement the Academy programme, provides necessary inputs to the elected executive on various matters of functioning of the Academy and maintain its finances and records etc. under the guidance of Executive Council and Statutory committees.

The following calendar of activities have been finalized for the year 2011

July, 30	Saturday	-	Last date for receipt of suggestions from Fellows for filling up vacancies of Office Bearers / Members of Executive Council
September, 15-16	Thursday & Friday	-	Meetings of Sectional Committees
September, 17	Saturday	-	Conveners’ Group Meeting
September, 17	Saturday	-	Executive Council Meeting (No. 77)
November, 5	Saturday	-	Last date for receipt of ballots for election of Fellows / Executive Council Members

Biopesticides quality assurance (Convener: Dr. A.N. Mukhopadhyay)

Academy organizes Agricultural Science Congress (ASC) once in two years. It has so far organized ten ASCs in different parts of the country. The XI ASC is proposed to be held in the year 2013 at Bhubaneshwar.
