These awards are presented at the Agricultural Science
Congress organized by the Academy once in two years.The Executive Council has framed guidelines in this regard and the same are appended at Annexure II.
Awards for Biennium 2007-2008
Nominations for Academy's awards for the biennium 2007-08 were invited in January 2008. Valid nominations were critically examined by respective Judging Committees in Sept-Oct 2008. The Committees finalized the list and the awards will be presented to the Awardees at the IX Agricultural Science Congress, to be held at SKUAS&T, Srinagar, during 22-24 June, 2009. NAAS –TATA Young Scientists’ Research Fellowship
In addition to the above awards, the Academy initiated a scheme for award of five Research Fellowships (three-years duration) in 2001 to support Young Scientists working in the ICAR Institutes, State Agricultural Universities and other research organizations for undertaking mission oriented research projects benefiting the farming community. Sir Dorabji Tata Trust provided the financial support for these Fellowships. On the basis of findings of the project awarded to Dr. A.K. Mishra in the field of Natural Resource Management, an implementable action plan was worked out and sent to Sir Dorabji Tata Trust for consideration of providing financial help for continuation of the NAAS-TATA Young Scientists' Research Fellowship scheme.
