Educated at Ashoknagar Boys' Secondary School, 1977-85; Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal, 1985-89; Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, 1990-96. B.Sc. (Ag) Hons.1989, M.Sc. 1992, Ph.D. 1996.
