Born in village Kangri Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, India on 6th February 1959; Educated at Govt. High School Baja Bain ( District Rajouri J&K, 1965-75), B.Sc Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College, Jammu, 1975-79; M.Sc Jammu University Jammu, 1979-81; Ph.D Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar 1981-86.

Director Education, 2017, Visiting Professor, Jagiellonian University Krakow, Poland., ETH - Swiss Federal Institure of Technology Zurich, Switzerland: Terengganu, Malaysia: Bussan, South Korea, Daejeon South Korea, King Saud University Saudi Arabia. Completed two collaborative projects one with ETH Zurich, Switzerland and another with Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland on honeybees and bumblebees.
