4. Norms set for the discharge of functions

The Secretaries are the Chief Executive Officers of the Academy. They are the scientific face of the Academy entrusted with the responsibility of Scientific, Academic and Technical matters in particular and day to day affairs of the Academy in general. The Executive Secretary is the Executive Officer of the Secretariat who will facilitate, implement the Academy programme, provides necessary inputs to the elected executive on various matters of functioning of the Academy and maintain its finances and records etc. under the guidance of Executive Council and Statutory committees.

  2. Strategy Paper on Food Borne Zoonotic Diseases: Proposed by Dr A.K. Srivastava, Vice-President, NAAS
  3. Strategy Paper on Tropical Wilt Race-4 in Banana Cultivation: Proposed by Dr R.K. Jain with Dr (Ms) Rashmi Agarwal, IARI, as the Convener and tentatively scheduled for last week of Sept., 2019.
  4. Strategy Paper on Bio-fortification: Dr U.S. Singh, CG-CIP and Foreign Secretary, NAAS, Convener. Tentatively scheduled for 1st week of Dec., 2019.
  5. Policy Paper on Improving Livestock Through Artificial Insemination. Proposed by Dr A.K. Srivastava, Vice-President, NAAS.
