4. Norms set for the discharge of functions

The Secretaries are the Chief Executive Officers of the Academy. They are the scientific face of the Academy entrusted with the responsibility of Scientific, Academic and Technical matters in particular and day to day affairs of the Academy in general. The Executive Secretary is the Executive Officer of the Secretariat who will facilitate, implement the Academy programme, provides necessary inputs to the elected executive on various matters of functioning of the Academy and maintain its finances and records etc. under the guidance of Executive Council and Statutory committees.

Academy organizes Agricultural Science Congress (ASC) once in two years. It has so far organized thirteen ASCs in different parts of the country. The XIII ASC was held from 21-24 Februray, 2017 at UAS, Bengaluru. The XIV ASC would be held in 2019.
